Lord, fill our hearts with the overflowing joy of Your resurrection as we celebrate the season of Easter. Help us to remember that death could not hold You, and because You live, we too live and have eternal hope.
Lord of Peace, while we rejoice, we pray for those who are struggling or in despair. We remember all the areas of conflict in the world, and all those individuals for whom each day brings challenge, sadness, fear or pain. May the hope of Easter bring comfort to the weary and healing to the broken-hearted. Help us to be instruments of peace in Your world.
Loving God, we thank you for bringing us to this point and for Your faithfulness to us as we proclaim Your resurrection and the hope it brings to humankind.
Thank You for the prayers You answered, and for all that You have done for us without us even noticing – for the blessings that sustained us, protected us and encouraged us, for the people and opportunities that You put in our way.
As we move through April, celebrating Your resurrection at Eastertide and witnessing the new life and new growth of Spring, we pray for the wisdom to continue to place our plans and our hopes into Your hands. We trust in You.
Fill us with faith, courage, purpose and love; help us to be a blessing to others.
